A paper from recently graduated PhD student at Virginia Tech, Mahatub Khan Badhon, from the Provisioning Fisheries Project has been published in Ambio!
The paper explored the diverse values and motivations of fishers around the Laurentian Great Lakes finding that fishers can be categorized under food a provisioning–leisure/sport continuum: provisioning/food-oriented, cultural/community-oriented, and leisure/sport-oriented, based on 443 shore anglers surveys.
