Sept 2024 – present
I am a post-doctoral fellow working with Dr. Vivian Nguyen and Dr. Steven Cooke at Carleton University and Dr. Marc Avey with the Canadian Council on Animal Care (CCAC). Our work centres on studying opportunities and barriers to knowledge generation, knowledge translation, and evidence use with respect to various participants in wild animal research and the CCAC’s ethics guidelines for fish and wildlife. My M.Sc. and Ph.D. research focused on fish stress biology and welfare in the context of electrical immobilisation and chemical anaesthesia, but I also hold a graduate diploma in curatorial studies and am broadly interested in natural history and conservation. Outside of work, I’m often split between various outdoor activities and being a nerd over music, history, or really immersive works of fiction.
