MSc Student, Co-Supervisor: Dr. Karen Dunmall

Sept 2020 – present

I am an MSc student within the Department of Biology at Carleton University, co-supervised by Dr. Nguyen as well as Dr. Dunmall of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO). I graduated from McMaster University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in anthropological and classical studies, and more recently graduated in 2019 with a Graduate Certificate from Niagara College, specializing in ecosystem restoration and environmental management. Throughout my studies, I have developed a wide diversity of interests across the social sciences and in ecological studies, and I thoroughly enjoy being involved part of such an interdisciplinary research group. My current research aims to develop a holistic understanding of biodiversity and environmental changes in the Hudson Bay Complex region through a compilation of recently published Western science aquatic marine research and through the documentation of Indigenous Knowledge of ecosystem changes in the community of Igloolik, Nunavut.
